Welcome to 2015

January 11, 2015

Dear Choir, Returning Choir members and new recruits,

Welcome to 2015 and a continuation of our 10th Anniversary Celebration.  We are looking forward to working with the Gwinnett Community Band as we present old and new selections.  The theme for this season is "Let There Be Music."   Choir begins on Thursday, January 22nd at 7:15 p.m. in the Chapel of the Sugar Hill Stake Center.   Please try diligently to be on time as the warm-up period between 7:15 and 7:30 is very important so that your voices will be limber and ready to tackle often difficult and high placed music.  We are starting earlier than I had originally planned because last January I did not factor in any snow days (yes, we participate with the school system!) and we ended up missing two very important rehearsals.  While the choir came through with flying colors for the concerts, too many of you weren't on solid ground with the music and that's not a place I want any of you to be.

Our concerts are as follows:

  • Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th, 7 p.m. in Sugar Hill Stake Center

  • Sunday, May 3rd at 7 p.m.  at Lilburn Stake Center

  • Sugar Hill Stake Conference, Sunday, May 3rd at the Lanier Center

  • Lilburn Stake Conference, Sunday, May 31st at Lilburn Stake Center

Every season I am grateful that we are making more beautiful music than ever.  When I look back ten years ago and see at the music we performed, I am in awe of your progress.  Line upon line, you have moved forward until now we sing as one voice with beautiful tones.  You can all be proud of what we have created and worked so hard to maintain at a high level of excellence.  What a blessing it has been and continues to be to "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord."    See you all on the 22nd.

Fondly,

Pam
